Camping

So there's one more thing I can check off on my (looooong) list of things I want to do at least once in my life.
Flagstaff, AZ is a really beautiful town- quaint, scenic, very English country side, reminds you of those 'red-tiled cottages with a pretty flower-bed in the garden with a lemonade seller riding past the wooden fence' that Enid Blyton was talking about. (almost all my school essays were very very 'Enid Blytony' with me being the hero either winning the local detective kid award or getting kudos from all the fairies & elves in the backyard!)
You're probably wondering what all this has to do with camping at all, so I better get back into the story line-
Where did we camp ? The camp grounds by Upper Lake Mary, around Flagstaff. Most people I know are surprised when I tell them the following was taken in Arizona.

Flagstaff is set in the midst of pine forests, rivulets, streams and lakes. In my idea a perfect weekend getaway. Definitely more inviting than the Science Library (Welcome to the PhD world).
Some things to make sure you have when you camp
1. Flash light
2. Tent
3. Sleeping bag (it gets awfully cold)
4. First aid kit (very easy to graze your knee)
5. Marinated food for making kebabs
6. Someone who's been here/ done that
7. Camp site reservations- especially if its summer time and you don't want to end up in some awful campsite
8. No rain- You really wouldn't want to end up all soggy, drenched, cold and wet under a tent.
